This beautifully illustrated children’s book has been written for elementary school students and for special needs children in the lower school grades. Its purpose is to communicate to these youngsters that although frustration sometimes interferes with their learning processes, working hard and persevering in their endeavors will ultimately benefit their efforts.

The book takes the reader through a series of incidents of a young athlete who wants to become a basketball player and coach. He finally makes the varsity team and eventually becomes the coach of the best basketball player in the world, Wilt Chamberlain, and subsequently becomes a secondary school principal who is honored to meet President Ronald Reagan in the Rose Garden for outstanding achievements in his school.

It All Began With Wilt

It All Began With WiltWhether or not you are a fan of basketball, you will enjoy this engaging true story! In 1953, when only 22 years old, Cecil Mosenson began his career as a basketball coach. The star of his first team happened to be Wilt Chamberlain. "It All Began With Wilt" not only focuses on Coach Mosenson's relationship with the young player who would become a star in the NBA, but it shares the many memories the coach has had over 50 years of coaching. Excerpts from the book: As if by magic, all the fans stopped in their tracks, turned around, and started back into the stands. It looked to me as if he were holding the Ten commandments in one hand and the other hand was pointing upward into the heavens. He was the Charlton Heston of the basketball world.

During the last 1:10 seconds of the game with the jammed fieldhouse in an uproar, the teams scored a total of nineteen points, and somehow Wilt broke loose to score ten of them.We took the lead with twenty seconds left and went on to win 75-74. He scored forty-six points and played with courage when we needed him. I have always thought of that game as the high point of Wilt's high school career. His tremendous competitive spirit and greatness under pressure came of age that night. It was a pleasure to be his coach-most of the time.

Mr. Principal, Your Activity Period... Sucks!

Mr. Principal, Your Activity Period... Sucks! This bestselling book focuses on education's unpardonable sin: Bad teachers! Mosenson's first book became as popular as those from best-selling authors. Mosenson deals with the realities of life in a compelling way. A blend of humor and real-life molded together perfectly! Excerpts from the book: "He carried little iron balls in one hand and a whipping stick in the other hand whenever he walked the corridors. Occasionally, he wore jodhpurs tucked into his boots. He marked test papers by plunging an ice pick through the papers. He was the eccentric of the staff."

"Tony emptied the contents of the bag on the table where the faculty committee and I were sitting. It was the pig's head on a platter. My world suddently stood still."

"This book is insightful, poignant, and humorous. I never dreamed about the emotional upheavals that principals dealt with. I laughed and cried at the same time. What an incredible record of achievements and the highs and lows of a principal."
